세상이 치유되려면 너만 치유되면 된다 /헬렌 슈크만 V. 치유의 모범 

​

T-27.V.1. 치유되는 것이 치유하는 유일한 길이다. 2기적은 네가 돕지 않아도 확장되지만, 네가 있어야 시작될 수 있다. 3치유의 기적을 받아들이라. 그러면 기적은 그 본성 때문에 확장되어 나아간다. 4태어나는 순간 자신을 확장하는 것이 기적의 본성이다. 5기적은 기적이 주어지고 받아들이는 순간 태어난다. 6그 누구도 다른 사람에게 치유 받으라고 요구할 수 없다. 7하지만 자신이 치유 받아, 받은 것을 다른 사람에게 줄 수는 있다. 8누가 갖지 않은 것을 줄 수 있겠는가? 9누가 자신에게 부인한 것을 공유할 수 있겠는가? 10성령은 너에게 말한다. 11다른 사람에게 말하는 것이 아니다. 12하지만 성령의 음성은 네가 들어야 확장되니, 네가 성령이 말한 것을 받아들였기 때문이다.

T-27.V.2. 건강은 그 자체가 증인이다. 2건강이 입증되지 않으면 건강하다고 확신할 수 없다. 3건강은 강건함이 드러나야 입증되므로 그 자체가 믿지 않을 수 없는 증거이다. 4이중의 메시지를 통해서는 아무도 치유될 수 없다. 5네가 오직 치유되기만을 원할 때 너는 치유할 수 있다. 6네가 치유만을 목표purpose로 삼았기에 치유가 가능해진다. 7그러나 네가 치유를 두려워하면 치유는 너를 통해 일어날 수 없다. 8치유의 유일한 필수 조건은 두려움이 없어야 한다는 것이다. 9두려워하는 자는 치유되지 않았고, 따라서 치유할 수 없다. 10이는 치유하려면 갈등이 마음에서 영원히 사라져야 한다는 말은 아니다. 11만일 그랬다면 치유는 필요 없었을 것이다. 12이는 네가 한순간이라도 공격 없이 사랑한다는 의미이다. 13한순간이면 충분하다. 14기적은 시간에 구애받지 않는다.

T-27.V.3. 거룩한 순간은 기적이 사는 곳이다. 2그곳에서 기적은 마음이 갈등을 초월하여 평화에 도달했음을 입증하는 증인으로 이 세상에 탄생한다. 3기적은 평화의 장소에서 전쟁터로 위안을 가져와, 전쟁은 아무 결과가 없음을 보여준다. 4전쟁이 일으키려 했던 모든 상처들, 으스러진 몸과 부러진 팔다리, 비명 속에 죽어가는 자들과 말없는 죽은 자들은 조용히 일으켜지고 위로받기 때문이다.

T-27.V.4. 기적이 치유하러 온 곳에는 슬픔이 없다. 2한순간만 네가 공격하지 않고 사랑한다면 이 모든 일이 일어난다. 3그 한순간에 네가 치유되고, 바로 그 한순간에 모든 치유가 이루어진다. 4거룩한 순간이 베푸는 축복을 받아들였을 때 무엇이 너와 분리되어 있겠는가? 5축복받기를 두려워 말라. 너를 축복하는 이는 온 세상을 사랑하며, 두려울 만한 그 무엇도 세상에 남겨두지 않기 때문이다. 6하지만 네가 축복이 두려워 움츠러든다면 너는 세상에 평화와 위로를 주지 않아 세상이 죽어가도록 내버려 두었기에, 세상이 참으로 두렵게 보일 것이다.

T-27.V.5. 세상을 구할 수 있었지만 치유되는 것이 두려워 뒤로 물러난 자에게 이토록 황폐한 세상이 정죄로 보이지 않겠는가? 2죽어가는 자의 눈에는 원망이 서려 있고, 괴로움은 “두려워할 무엇이 있는가?”라고 속삭인다. 3이 질문을 잘 생각해보라. 4그것은 너를 위해 네게 던진 질문이다. 5죽어가는 세상은 세상이 치유될 수 있도록, 네게 단 한순간 너 자신에 대한 공격을 멈추라고 청할 뿐이다.

T-27.V.6. 거룩한 순간으로 와서 치유되라. 너는 그 순간에 받은 것을 하나도 남김없이 세상으로 가지고 돌아올 것이다. 2축복받은 너는 축복을 가져온다. 3죽어가는 세상에 생명을 베풀도록 생명이 네게 주어진다. 4고통에 찬 눈은 다시는 고소하지 않을 것이며, 축복을 건넨 너에 대한 고마움으로 영롱하게 반짝일 것이다. 5거룩한 순간의 광휘는 네 눈을 밝혀 모든 고통 너머로 그리스도의 얼굴을 볼 수 있는 시력을 줄 것이다. 6치유가 고통을 대신한다. 7고통과 치유는 같은 자리에서 지각될 수 없기에 둘 중 하나를 보면 하나는 보이지 않는다. 8네가 보는 것을 세상도 목격할 것이며, 세상이 그것을 입증할 것이다.

T-27.V.7. 그러므로 세상이 치유되려면 너만 치유되면 된다. 2세상은 완벽하게 습득된 하나의 교훈이 필요하다. 3네가 그것을 잊으면 세상은 네가 가르친 것을 네게 부드럽게 상기시킬 것이다. 4너 자신을 치유되게 하여 세상을 살려준 네게, 세상은 아낌없는 지원으로 감사를 표할 것이다. 5세상은 그리스도의 얼굴을 보여주기 위해 증인들을 네게 부를 것이니, 그들은 네가 되찾아준 시력으로 그리스도의 얼굴을 목격하였다. 6고소의 세상은 모든 이들이 그들에게 해방을 가져다준 친구를 사랑스럽게 바라보는 세상으로 바뀐다. 7그리하여 너의 형제는 그가 한때 적으로 여겼던 자들을 수많은 친구로 즐거이 지각할 것이다.

T-27.V.8. 문제는 구체적이지 않지만 구체적인 형태를 취하며, 이들 구체적인 모양이 세상을 구성한다. 2그리하여 아무도 자기가 안고 있는 문제의 본질을 이해하지 못한다. 3문제를 이해한다면 문제는 다시는 보이지 않을 것이다. 4문제의 본질은 문제가 없다는 것이다. 5그러므로 문제를 지각하는 한 문제를 있는 그대로 지각할 수 없다. 6하지만 치유는 구체적인 상황에서 시작하여 모든 상황에 보편적으로 적용된다. 7이는 그 상황들이 비록 형태는 다르지만 실은 모두 같기 때문이다. 8모든 배움은 일반화되는 것을 목표로 하며, 두 상황이 같다고 보이면 둘의 공통 요소만 남기에 그때 일반화가 완성된다. 9그러나 이것은 네가 보는 차이를 보지 않는 자만이 이룰 수 있다. 10네가 배운 것의 완전한 일반화는 네가 이루지 않는다. 11네가 보는 모든 차이에도 불구하고 네가 배운 것이 모두에게 적용되기에 네가 보는 차이는 실재일 수 없음을 확신하게 된다.

T-27.V.9. 너의 치유는 확장되고, 너는 너의 문제로 여기지 않던 문제들도 접할 것이다. 2또한 네가 가진 여러 가지 수많은 문제들 중 하나에서 벗어나면서 모든 문제가 해결된다는 것도 명백해질 것이다. 3문제가 다르다면 이런 일은 일어날 수 없다. 배움은 배움이 일어난 상황과 반대되는 상황에서 같은 결과를 낼 수 없기 때문이다. 4모든 치유는 제대로 이해되고 결코 위반된 적이 없는 법에 따라, 적법한 절차 속에 진행되어야 한다. 5너의 방식대로 법을 지각하고서 두려워 말라. 6너는 틀렸지만 옳은 이가 네 안에 있다.

T-27.V.10. 그러므로 네 배움의 일반화는 그것의 법칙을 진정으로 이해하는 이에게 맡기라. 그는 그 법이 위반되지도 제한되지도 않을 것을 보장한다. 2너는 다만 그가 너에게 가르친 것을 너 자신에게 적용하기만 하면 된다. 나머지는 그가 알아서 할 것이다. 3그러므로 너의 배움의 힘은 온갖 증인을 찾아냄으로써 네게 증명될 것이다. 4그 중에서 너의 형제가 먼저 보일 것이고, 그의 뒤에 수천 명이 있으며, 수천 명 뒤에 또 천 배의 사람들이 있을 것이다. 5그들은 각기 다른 문제를 가진 것처럼 보일지도 모른다. 6하지만 모두 함께 해결된다. 7그리고 문제들에 대한 공통된 답이 그 질문들이 다를 수 없음을 보여준다.

T-27.V.11. 치유가 주어진 너에게 평화가 있으라. 2치유를 받아들일 때 너는 네게 평화가 주어졌음을 배운다. 3네가 치유의 전체 가치를 평가해야만 치유로 인해 유익을 얻었음을 이해할 수 있는 것은 아니다. 4사랑이 공격 없이 들어왔던 그 순간에 생겨난 것이 영원히 너와 함께 머물 것이다. 5너의 치유는 형제들의 치유와 마찬가지로 그 순간의 결과 중 하나일 것이다. 6어디를 가더라도 너는 엄청나게 늘어난 그 결과를 볼 것이다. 7하지만 네가 보는 증인은 실제 증인보다 훨씬 적을 것이다. 8무한은 무한의 분리된 부분들을 합한다고 해서 이해할 수 있는 것이 아니다. 9하나님은 너의 치유에 대해 감사하신다. 너의 치유는 하나님의 아들에게 준 사랑의 선물이며 따라서 당신께 드린 선물임을 아시기 때문이다.

V. The Healing Example 

​

T-27.V.1. The only way to heal is to be healed. 2The miracle extends without your help, but you are needed that it can begin. 3Accept the miracle of healing, and it will go forth because of what it is. 4It is its nature to extend itself the instant it is born. 5And it is born the instant it is offered and received. 6No one can ask another to be healed. 7But he can let himself be healed, and thus offer the other what he has received. 8Who can bestow upon another what he does not have? 9And who can share what he denies himself? 10The Holy Spirit speaks to you. 11He does not speak to someone else. 12Yet by your listening His Voice extends, because you have accepted what He says.

T-27.V.2. Health is the witness unto health. 2As long as it is unattested, it remains without conviction. 3Only when it has been demonstrated is it proved, and must provide a witness that compels belief. 4No one is healed through double messages. 5If you wish only to be healed, you heal. 6Your single purpose makes this possible. 7But if you are afraid of healing, then it cannot come through you. 8The only thing that is required for a healing is a lack of fear. 9The fearful are not healed, and cannot heal. 10This does not mean the conflict must be gone forever from your mind to heal. 11For if it were, there were no need for healing then. 12But it does mean, if only for an instant, you love without attack. 13An instant is sufficient. 14Miracles wait not on time.

T-27.V.3. The holy instant is the miracle's abiding place. 2From there, each one is born into this world as witness to a state of mind that has transcended conflict, and has reached to peace. 3It carries comfort from the place of peace into the battleground, and demonstrates that war has no effects. 4For all the hurt that war has sought to bring, the broken bodies and the shattered limbs, the screaming dying and the silent dead, are gently lifted up and comforted.

T-27.V.4. There is no sadness where a miracle has come to heal. 2And nothing more than just one instant of your love without attack is necessary that all this occur. 3In that one instant you are healed, and in that single instant is all healing done. 4What stands apart from you, when you accept the blessing that the holy instant brings? 5Be not afraid of blessing, for the One Who blesses you loves all the world, and leaves nothing within the world that could be feared. 6But if you shrink from blessing, will the world indeed seem fearful, for you have withheld its peace and comfort, leaving it to die.

T-27.V.5. Would not a world so bitterly bereft be looked on as a condemnation by the one who could have saved it, but stepped back because he was afraid of being healed? 2The eyes of all the dying bring reproach, and suffering whispers, "What is there to fear?" 3Consider well its question. 4It is asked of you on your behalf. 5A dying world asks only that you rest an instant from attack upon yourself, that it be healed. 

​

T-27.V.6. Come to the holy instant and be healed, for nothing that is there received is left behind on your returning to the world. 2And being blessed you will bring blessing. 3Life is given you to give the dying world. 4And suffering eyes no longer will accuse, but shine in thanks to you who blessing gave. 5The holy instant's radiance will light your eyes, and give them sight to see beyond all suffering and see Christ's face instead. 6Healing replaces suffering. 7Who looks on one cannot perceive the other, for they cannot both be there. 8And what you see the world will witness, and will witness to.

T-27.V.7. Thus is your healing everything the world requires, that it may be healed. 2It needs one lesson that has perfectly been learned. 3And then, when you forget it, will the world remind you gently of what you have taught. 4No reinforcement will its thanks withhold from you who let yourself be healed that it might live. 5It will call forth its witnesses to show the face of Christ to you who brought the sight to them, by which they witnessed it. 6The world of accusation is replaced by one in which all eyes look lovingly upon the Friend who brought them their release. 7And happily your brother will perceive the many friends he thought were enemies.

T-27.V.8. Problems are not specific but they take specific forms, and these specific shapes make up the world. 2And no one understands the nature of his problem. 3If he did, it would be there no more for him to see. 4Its very nature is that it is not. 5And thus, while he perceives it he can not perceive it as it is. 6But healing is apparent in specific instances, and generalizes to include them all. 7This is because they really are the same, despite their different forms. 8All learning aims at transfer, which becomes complete within two situations that are seen as one, for only common elements are there. 9Yet this can only be attained by One Who does not see the differences you see. 10The total transfer of your learning is not made by you. 11But that it has been made in spite of all the differences you see, convinces you that they could not be real.

T-27.V.9. Your healing will extend, and will be brought to problems that you thought were not your own. 2And it will also be apparent that your many different problems will be solved as any one of them has been escaped. 3It cannot be their differences which made this possible, for learning does not jump from situations to their opposites and bring the same results. 4All healing must proceed in lawful manner, in accord with laws that have been properly perceived but never violated. 5Fear you not the way that you perceive them. 6You are wrong, but there is One within you Who is right.

T-27.V.10. Leave, then, the transfer of your learning to the One Who really understands its laws, and Who will guarantee that they remain unviolated and unlimited. 2Your part is merely to apply what He has taught you to yourself, and He will do the rest. 3And it is thus the power of your learning will be proved to you by all the many different witnesses it finds. 4Your brother first among them will be seen, but thousands stand behind him, and beyond each one of them there are a thousand more. 5Each one may seem to have a problem that is different from the rest. 6Yet they are solved together. 7And their common answer shows the questions could not have been separate.

T-27.V.11. Peace be to you to whom is healing offered. 2And you will learn that peace is given you when you accept the healing for yourself. 3Its total value need not be appraised by you to let you understand that you have benefited from it. 4What occurred within the instant that love entered in without attack will stay with you forever. 5Your healing will be one of its effects, as will your brother's. 6Everywhere you go, will you behold its multiplied effects. 7Yet all the witnesses that you behold will be far less than all there really are. 8Infinity cannot be understood by merely counting up its separate parts. 9God thanks you for your healing, for He knows it is a gift of love unto His Son, and therefore is it given unto Him. T-18.V.1. 결코 있지 않았던 것을 해제하기 위해 지금 준비하라. 2네가 이미 진실과 허상의 차이를 이해했다면 속죄는 아무런 의미가 없었을 것이다. 3거룩한 순간과 거룩한 관계, 성령의 가르침과 구원을 이루는 수단은 목적이 없었을 것이다. 4이 모두는 두려움의 꿈을 쉽게 지식으로 깨어나게 하는 행복한 꿈으로 바꾸는 계획의 일환에 지나지 않기 때문이다. 5이 일을 네가 하겠다고 나서지 말라. 너는 진보와 퇴보를 구별하지 못한다. 6너는 네가 이루었던 가장 위대한 진보를 실패로 간주하고 가장 퇴보한 것을 성공으로 평가한 적도 있었다.

T-18.V.2. 너의 마음에서 두려움과 증오를 최대한 없애려고 한 다음 거룩한 순간에 다가가려 하지 말라. 2그것은 거룩한 순간이 할 일이다. 3성령의 도움을 요청하기 전에는 너의 죄책을 지나치려 하지 말라. 4그것은 성령의 역할이다. 5너의 역할은 다만 성령이 모든 두려움과 증오를 없애도록 너의 작은 용의를 성령께 건네 용서받는 것이다. 6성령은 자신의 이해가 결합된 너의 작은 믿음 위에 속죄 과정에서 네가 맡은 역할을 확립할 것이며, 네가 그 역할을 쉽게 완수하도록 할 것이다. 7굳건한 믿음의 반석 위에 너는 성령과 함께 천국까지 오르는 사다리를 세울 것이다. 8또한 너는 천국으로 올라가는 이 사다리를 혼자 오르지 않을 것이다.

T-18.V.3. 네가 마련하지 않은 거룩한 순간마다, 다시 태어나 축복받는 너의 거룩한 관계를 통해 수많은 사람들이 너와 함께 천국에 오를 것이다. 2네가 이를 계획할 수 있겠는가? 3네가 이 임무를 맡도록 스스로 준비할 수 있겠는가? 4하지만 이 일은 가능하니, 하나님이 이를 뜻하시고, 5그것에 대해 당신의 마음을 바꾸지 않으시기 때문이다. 6목표와 수단 모두 하나님께 있[T402]다. 7너는 이미 하나를 받아들였고, 하나는 너에게 주어진다. 8이와 같은 목표에 수단이 없다는 것은 상상조차 할 수 없다. 9누구든지 하나님의 목표를 자신의 목표로 삼은 자에게는 하나님이 수단을 제공하신다.

T-18.V.4. 행복한 꿈은, 꿈이라서가 아니라 행복하기에 실현된다. 2그 꿈은 행복하므로 사랑의 꿈임에 틀림없다. 3행복한 꿈이 전하는 메시지는 “당신의 뜻이 이루어지이다.”이지, “나는 당신의 뜻이 다르기를 원합니다.”가 아니다. 4수단과 목적의 일치는 너로서는 이해할 수 없는 일이다. 5너는 성령의 목적을 너의 목적으로 받아들였다는 사실조차 의식하지 못하고, 거룩하지 않은 수단을 동원하여 목적을 달성하려는 것이 고작일 것이다. 6목적을 바꾸는 데 필요했던 작은 믿음만 있다면 수단을 받아 사용할 수 있다. 

​

T-18.V.5. 형제를 너 자신처럼 사랑하는 것은 꿈이 아니다. 2너의 거룩한 관계 또한 꿈이 아니다. 3거룩한 관계에서 여전히 꿈이라 할 수 있는 요소는 그것이 여전히 특별한 관계라는 것뿐이다. 4그러나 특별한 관계는 이곳에서 특별한 기능을 가진 성령에게 매우 유용하다. 5특별한 관계는, 사랑을 행복이 아닌 두려움이라 믿는 수많은 사람들에게 성령이 기쁨을 펼칠 수 있는 행복한 꿈이 될 것이다. 6성령이 너의 관계에 부여한 기능을 너를 위해 성령이 받아들여 완수하게 하라. 그러면 그것을 성령이 원하는 관계로 만드는 데 아무것도 부족하지 않을 것이다. 

​

T-18.V.6. 네가 맺은 관계의 거룩함이 그 무엇에 의해서든 위협을 받는다고 느낀다면 그 즉시 멈춰, 두렵더라도 그 순간을 네가 원하는 거룩한 순간으로 성령이 바꾸도록 허락하겠다는 용의를 성령께 건네라. 2성령은 결코 실패하지 않을 것이다. 3그러나 너희의 관계는 하나이며, 한 사람의 평화를 위협하는 것은 상대에게도 똑같이 위협이 됨을 잊지 말라. 4관계가 주는 축복 아래 형제와 결합할 때 오는 권능은, 너나 너의 형제가 이제는 홀로 두려워하거나 홀로 두려움을 대면하는 일이 불가능하다는 사실에 있다. 5그럴 필요가 있다거나 심지어 그것이 기능하다고도 믿지 말라. 6거룩한 순간이 둘 중 한 사람에게만 오는 것도 불가능하다. 7거룩한 순간은 둘 중 어느 한 사람만 요청해도 둘 다에게 올 것이다. 

​

T-18.V.7. 위협을 지각하는 순간, 누구든 좀 더 제정신인 사람이 상대가 얼마나 고마운 사람이며 그에게 얼마나 많은 신세를 졌는지 기억하고, 둘 모두에게 행복을 가져와 그 빚을 갚을 수 있음에 기뻐해야 한다. 2그에게 이 점을 일깨워주고, 이렇게 말하라.[T403] 

​

3나는 사랑하는 형제와 함께 나눌 수 있도록, 거룩한 순간을 열망한다. 

4형제 없이 나 홀로 혹은 나 없이 형제 홀로 거룩한 순간을 맞이하는 것은 불가능하다. 

5하지만 지금 함께 거룩한 순간을 나누는 것은 전적으로 가능하다. 

6그러므로 나는 성령의 축복이 우리에게 내려와 우리 모두를 평화에 머무르게 할 수 있도록 이 순간을 성령께 드리기로 선택한다.

V. The Happy Dream 

​

T-18.V.1. Prepare you now for the undoing of what never was. 2If you already understood the difference between truth and illusion, the Atonement would have no meaning. 3The holy instant, the holy relationship, the Holy Spirit's teaching, and all the means by which salvation is accomplished, would have no purpose. 4For they are all but aspects of the plan to change your dreams of fear[T382] to happy dreams, from which you waken easily to knowledge. 5Put yourself not in charge of this, for you cannot distinguish between advance and retreat. 6Some of your greatest advances you have judged as failures, and some of your deepest retreats you have evaluated as success. 

​

T-18.V.2. Never approach the holy instant after you have tried to remove all fear and hatred from your mind. 2That is its function. 3Never attempt to overlook your guilt before you ask the Holy Spirit's help. 4That is His function. 5Your part is only to offer Him a little willingness to let Him remove all fear and hatred, and to be forgiven. 6On your little faith, joined with His understanding, He will build your part in the Atonement and make sure that you fulfill it easily. 7And with Him, you will build a ladder planted in the solid rock of faith, and rising even to Heaven. 8Nor will you use it to ascend to Heaven alone.

T-18.V.3. Through your holy relationship, reborn and blessed in every holy instant you do not arrange, thousands will rise to Heaven with you. 2Can you plan for this? 3Or could you prepare yourself for such a function? 4Yet it is possible, because God wills it. 5Nor will He change His Mind about it. 6The means and purpose both belong to Him. 7You have accepted one; the other will be provided. 8A purpose such as this, without the means, is inconceivable. 9He will provide the means to anyone who shares His purpose.

T-18.V.4. Happy dreams come true, not because they are dreams, but only because they are happy. 2And so they must be loving. 3Their message is, "Thy Will be done," and not, "I want it otherwise." 4The alignment of means and purpose is an undertaking impossible for you to understand. 5You do not even realize you have accepted the Holy Spirit's purpose as your own, and you would merely bring unholy means to its accomplishment. 6The little faith it needed to change the purpose is all that is required to receive the means and use them. 

​

T-18.V.5. It is no dream to love your brother as yourself. 2Nor is your holy relationship a dream. 3All that remains of dreams within it is that it is still a special relationship. 4Yet it is very useful to the Holy Spirit, Who has a special function here. 5It will become the happy dream through which He can spread joy to thousands on thousands who believe that love is fear, not happiness. 6Let Him fulfill the function that He gave to your relationship by accepting it for you, and nothing will be wanting that would make of it [T383] what He would have it be.

T-18.V.6. When you feel the holiness of your relationship is threatened by anything, stop instantly and offer the Holy Spirit your willingness, in spite of fear, to let Him exchange this instant for the holy one that you would rather have. 2He will never fail in this. 3But forget not that your relationship is one, and so it must be that whatever threatens the peace of one is an equal threat to the other. 4The power of joining its blessing lies in the fact that it is now impossible for you or your brother to experience fear alone, or to attempt to deal with it alone. 5Never believe that this is necessary, or even possible. 6Yet just as this is impossible, so is it equally impossible that the holy instant come to either of you without the other. 7And it will come to both at the request of either.

W-pI.79.1. 문제가 무엇인지 모른다면 문제는 해결될 수 없다. ²이미 문제가 진정으로 해결되었어도 너는 여전히 문제를 안고 있을 것이니, 너는 문제가 해결되었음을 인식하지 못하기 때문이다. ³이것이 세상이 처한 상황이다. ⁴사실 유일한 문제인 분리는 이미 해결되었다. ⁵그러나 문제를 인식하지 못하기에 해결 또한 인식하지 못한다.

LESSON 79
Let me recognize the problem so it can be solved.

W-pI.79.1. A problem cannot be solved if you do not know what it is. 2Even if it is really solved already you will still have the problem, because you will not recognize that it has been solved. 3This is the situation of the world. 4The problem of separation, which is really the only problem, has already been solved. 5Yet the solution is not recognized because the problem is not recognized.

W-pI.79.2. Everyone in this world seems to have his own special problems. 2Yet they are all the same, and must be recognized as one if the one solution that solves them all is to be accepted. 3Who can see that a problem has been solved if he thinks the problem is something else? 4Even if he is given the answer, he cannot see its relevance.

W-pI.79.3. That is the position in which you find yourself now. 2You have the answer, but you are still uncertain about what the problem is. 3A long series of different problems seems to confront you, and as one is settled the next one and the next arise. 4There seems to be no end to them. 5There is no time in which you feel completely free of problems and at peace.

W-pI.79.4. The temptation to regard problems as many is the temptation to keep the problem of separation unsolved. 2The world seems to present you with a vast number of problems, each requiring a different answer. 3This perception places you in a position in which your problem solving must be inadequate, and failure is inevitable.

W-pI.79.5. No one could solve all the problems the world appears to hold. 2They seem to be on so many levels, in such varying forms and with such varied content, that they confront you with an impossible situation. 3Dismay and depression are inevitable as you regard them. 4Some spring up unexpectedly, just as you think you have resolved the previous ones. 5Others remain unsolved under a cloud of denial, and rise to haunt you from time to time, only to be hidden again but still unsolved.

All this complexity is but a desperate attempt not to recognize the problem, and therefore not to let it be resolved. 2If you could recognize that your only problem is separation, no matter what form it takes, you could accept the answer because you would see its relevance. 3Perceiving the underlying constancy in all the problems that seem to confront you, you would understand that you have the means to solve them all. 4And you would use the means, because you recognize the problem.

W-pI.79.7. In our longer practice periods today we will ask what the problem is, and what is the answer to it. 2We will not assume that we already know. 3We will try to free our minds of all the many different kinds of problems we think we have. 4We will try to realize that we have only one problem, which we have failed to recognize. 5We will ask what it is, and wait for the answer. 6We will be told. 7Then we will ask for the solution to it. 8And we will be told.

W-pI.79.8. The exercises for today will be successful to the extent to which you do not insist on defining the problem. 2Perhaps you will not succeed in letting all your preconceived notions go, but that is not necessary. 3All that is necessary is to entertain some doubt about the reality of your version of what your problems are. 4You are trying to recognize that you have been given the answer by recognizing the problem, so that the problem and the answer can be brought together and you can be at peace.

The shorter practice periods for today will not be set by time, but by need. 2You will see many problems today, each one calling for an answer. 3Our efforts will be directed toward recognizing that there is only one problem and one answer. 4In this recognition are all problems resolved. 5In this recognition there is peace.

W-pI.79.10. Be not deceived by the form of problems today. 2Whenever any difficulty seems to rise, tell yourself quickly:

Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

W-pI.80.1. If you are willing to recognize your problems, you will recognize that you have no problems. ²Your one central problem has been answered, and you have no other. ³Therefore, you must be at peace. ⁴Salvation thus depends on recognizing this one problem, and understanding that it has been solved. ⁵One problem, one solution. ⁶Salvation is accomplished. ⁷Freedom from conflict has been given you. ⁸Accept that fact, and you are ready to take your rightful place in God's plan for salvation.

W-pI.80.2. Your only problem has been solved! ²Repeat this over and over to yourself today, with gratitude and conviction. ³You have recognized your only problem, opening the way for the Holy Spirit to give you God's answer. ⁴You have laid deception aside, and seen the light of truth. ⁵You have accepted salvation for yourself by bringing the problem to the answer. ⁶And you can recognize the answer, because the problem has been identified.

W-pI.80.3. You are entitled to peace today. ²A problem that has been resolved cannot trouble you. ³Only be certain you do not forget that all problems are the same. ⁴Their many forms will not deceive you while you remember this. ⁵One problem, one solution. ⁶Accept the peace this simple statement brings.

W-pI.80.4. In our longer practice periods today, we will claim the peace that must be ours when the problem and the answer have been brought together. ²The problem must be gone, because God's answer cannot fail. ³Having recognized one, you have recognized the other. ⁴The solution is inherent in the problem. ⁵You are answered, and have accepted the answer. ⁶You are saved.

W-pI.80.5. Now let the peace that your acceptance brings be given you. ²Close your eyes, and receive your reward. ³Recognize that your problems have been solved. ⁴Recognize that you are out of conflict; free and at peace. ⁵Above all, remember that you have one problem, and that the problem has one solution. ⁶It is in this that the simplicity of salvation lies. ⁷It is because of this that it is guaranteed to work.

W-pI.80.6. Assure yourself often today that your problems have been solved. ²Repeat the idea with deep conviction, as frequently as possible. ³And be particularly sure to apply the idea for today to any specific problem that may arise. ⁴Say quickly:

⁵Let me recognize this problem has been solved.
